Community Redevelopment

Historic Westside

In Las Vegas’ Historic Westside, community redevelopment is about more than buildings—it’s about the people who once found refuge at Jackson Street and Harrison House during segregation. By restoring these landmarks, improving housing, and uplifting local businesses, the neighborhood celebrates its history and opens new doors for everyone.

Jackson Street

Jackson Street

Jackson Street, in Las Vegas’ Historic Westside, was once a bustling hub for African Americans during segregation, with Black-owned businesses, music clubs, and community gatherings. Bringing it back to life pays tribute to their strength, boosts the local neighborhood, and keeps an important part of our shared history alive.

Harrison House

Located in Las Vegas’ Historic Westside, served as a safe haven for African Americans during segregation. Restoring it honors their resilience, strengthens the surrounding community, and preserves an essential piece of our shared heritage.
